This week we chose a set of commonly used traditional Chinese diaper designs.
In Chinese arts diapers (also known as "diaper backgrounds") are patterns delicately used to enliven large plain areas of an artwork, such as the sky, air, water, ground, floor, etc.
Their presence is especially notable in carved lacquer works where texturing each element by a different pattern is a powerful tool for achieving richness of the composition.
Again, provided as free vector graphics. Part 4 is about to follow – stay tuned!
